Temple of Compassion ashram in Texas is a place for sincere spiritual seekers.

Our Mission

Temple of Compassion is an interfaith community of prayer, worship, and meditation, and a place of retreat for people of all religions. Our mission is to be a sacred sanctuary in service to all of creation, fostering oneness through practical spirituality and compassionate living.

Located in the USA Southern Region, this ashram provides intensive support to seekers in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas, and is in addition a general place of retreat for spiritual seekers from the US and around the world.

When we are on the spiritual path, we should cultivate compassion. A compassionate heart adds tenderness and readiness to serve with love and a feeling of oneness and amity. The eagerness to help and support one in trouble is a sign of compassion.

Let us live compassionately in our daily lives and become worthy examples of love and compassion.

Protection and Care of

Go Matas and the Environment

We should have compassionate minds and hearts for the entire creation including plants, birds, animals, and humans. We should preserve and protect Mother Earth with our sweetness and kindness. For this, we should be tender, sweet, kind, and loving. Without which we cannot grow spiritually.

– Paramahamsa Prajnanananda

Go Mata

The ashram is a sacred sanctuary for all – including plants and animals – and provides a loving sanctuary for a herd of Brahman / desi cows (go), which sanctify and purify the atmosphere with spiritual vibration.

Opportunities are available for spiritual seekers to learn about and serve the cows through goseva.

Temple of Compassion sustains two greenhouses containing a variety of sacred plants and medicinal herbs.

Pranada Products was born in 2017 as a way to share with others the Ayurvedic herbs and cow-based products that were being produced and enjoyed by resident monastics at the Temple of Compassion.
