Temple of Compassion residents are joining St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham in their efforts to feed the “food insecure” population of Washington County.
Over 51% of households in the county the ashram is located in do not know where their next meal will come from.
The first Friday of every month the church organizes a drive through food pantry for those eligible. Volunteers help pack bags from the Brazos Valley Food Bank and other donors and hand deliver the food.
Temple of Compassion residents were invited back to participate on a monthly basis.
